Charlotte Brontë Large Cameo Wall Decoration

This is my heartfelt creation in honour of Charlotte Bronte. I have loved her all my life, from when I was a child reading Jane Eyre for the first time and seeing the story play out in my head. I became fascinated with the Brontes and the creation of their miniature worlds, they helped shape my whole life, I became a model maker of miniature worlds, their world seeped into my soul so that finally, over 40 years later, I feel able to try and convey the likeness of the astounding Charlotte Bronte. Sitting by candlelight carving and modelling my clay, letting the form of Charlotte just manifest in my hands, has brought me the most profound peace and joy. I based her face on the Richmond portrait, as if she had just turned to the side. Now to start Emily, Anne and Branwell.
 
Hand Sculpted Polymer and Wood Wall Decoration with Charlotte Brontë Inspired Cameo

This Cameo has been hand sculpted by Leigh Jordan of Window of the Soul as a possible side view of Charlotte Brontë as she is portrayed in the famous Richmond Portrait of 1850.
This decoration is a polymer clay/resin cast from an original sculpture and mounted on to a wooden backing that is aged to look like old antique weathered wood. The Cameo has a sculpted copy of Charlottes signature on the left, and the dates 1816 - 1855 on the right hand side, the entire panel is then painted to resemble the age and patina of an old marble Victorian cameo.
 
The plaque has a vintage feel, the perfect accessory for any Brontë lover. Hand crafted with the highest quality materials in soothing “old book” coloured tones, everything is completely hand made from the sculpting of the original image to the weathering and ageing of the wooden base, and there is a strong metal ring on the back to aid in hanging.
 
This is a must have for any Brontë lover, it is an unusual and interesting plaque, a real talking point, with its beautiful and eye catching design, it would make a cherished addition to your collection, or gifting it to a friend or loved one, who will enjoy it for many years to come.
 
Colour variations appear due to some photographs being taken by candlelight, and others by full bright daylight.
 
Every plaque is completely Handmade, so slight variations in patina will occur from item to item.
